Castleknock Hurling & Football Club regret to advise the passing of Joan McGrath, mother to John McGrath, mentor for the 2013 Girls and 2015 Boys teams and Grandmother to Club players Megan (2013 Girls) and Aidan (2015 Boys).

The death has occurred of Joan McGrath (née Moulds) Bunclody Road, Ferns, Wexford. 

Peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday the 19th of April 2024. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Joe, her loving children; John, Edward and Margaret, adored grandchildren; Megan, Aidan and Joseph, daughter-in-law Bernie, Margaret’s partner Paul, brothers Jim (RIP), Robert, Billy and Eamon, sister Alice, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Joan’s gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Kavanagh’s Funeral Home, Castlelands, Ferns, Y21 KW54 on Saturday 20th April, from 3pm to 7pm, with removal from there on Sunday at 10.30am to St. Aidan’s Church, Ferns, for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, which can be viewed online at Joan McGrath’s Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St Aidan’s Cemetery, Ferns. Family flowers only, please.
