Bereavement Notice - Roisín O'Reilly

Castleknock Hurling & Football Club regret to advise the passing of Roisín O’Reilly, RIP, Cavan Town and Ballyhaise, Cavan. Roisín was the mother of Joe and mother-in-law of Ger O’Reilly, long-standing members of the Club and whose children, Tara, Conor and Aoife all played with the club.

The death has occurred of Roisín O’ Reilly, nee O’Neill, Golf Links Rd, Cavan and formerly Ballyhaise, Co.Cavan, November 7th 2023, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Mattie and devoted mother of Mary, Michael, Joe, Therese and Noel. Roisín will be very sadly missed by her loving family, son in law Michael, daughters in law Stella, Ger and Kathy, her adored grandchildren Hazel, Terry, Tara, Conor, Aoife, Michael and Roisín and great-grandsons George and Jack, brothers Paddy (Dublin) and Michael (Ballyhaise), sisters Eileen Mc Govern (Ballinagh), Mary Rafter (Newtownforbes), Sr. Therese (Peggy), Birmingham, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and all her relations and many friends.

Roisín will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd., Cavan (H12 C821) on Thursday evening from 5pm until removal at 7.30pm to the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 Noon followed by burial in the family plot in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Killygarry.
