Castleknock GAA and WEST Active August, supporting Temple Street
Castleknock GAA are delighted to support our community partner WEST in their Active this August fundraising event in aid of the great cause, the Children’s Health Foundation, Temple Street.
West Active August officially launched in our home grounds, Somerton, on Wednesday 7th July, before the Men’s Div1S football league win against Lucan.
All funds raised will go towards the purchase of 2 portable Cardiac Service Monitors for St. Patrick’s Ward to enable patient ECG, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. These monitors are essential to the safe transfer of patients within the hospital. This includes transferring them to and from tests like X-Rays and Ultrasounds and transferring between wards and to ICU. These monitors will ensure the transfer of patients happens without delay which prevents the deterioration of a child’s condition and ensures they get tests as soon as possible to help diagnose and treat patients.
As a club, we are happy to support WEST in this event again this year. Club members are invited to purchase a jointly branded jersey, with all funds going to Temple Street. Order early to get your preferred size!
