Community Credit Union is celebrating its 60th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, Community Credit Unionare held a Special Community Awards night on Friday 14th October, to recognise some of the groups and individuals who have significantly impacted our local community in recent times.

Well done to Castleknock GAA’s own Susan Cryan who was recognied and awarded for her work in Castleknock Hurling and Football Club. Susan has spent many years in carrying out different volunteer roles in Castleknock GAA. From day one when Susan joined the club with her children she has actively participated in the club from team mentor to Juvenile Chair serving on the Executive to currently as a member of the team that manages the Clubhouse. Whenever somebody needs to put a shoulder to the wheel she is never found wanting over a broad range of activities. Mention should also be given to her husband Michael who is also active within the club. They have also imbued that sense of volunteerism in their children who not only play but volunteer in the club. Without members like Susan clubs like Castleknock could not exist.
