Greening Somerton Project - update

🌳 🌳 Tree Planting

Over the last two weeks we have managed to plant over 1500 trees in various areas around Somerton.

We had a great turnout of members young and old who helped us get the tree into the ground

We now need to fence off each area to prevent damage from Rabbits etc.

This is more physical work so it wont be suitable for children –  but if any of our Adult Members had some time on their hands could they reach out to Michael Wylie at Michael.wylie@castleknock.net to see how they could help.

Help us plant a tree week – Greening Somerton

The Club has received over 1500  tree saplings for our ‘Micro Forests’ in Somerton  – help is needed to get these into the ground from Monday 1st April.

Planting can be done during either the day or evening time as the clocks will go forward from this weekend.

We will have some shovels available, but if people can bring their own that would be great.

Contact michael.wylie@castleknock.net to book your slot to help out.
