Impresssive win for Castleknock Senior Hurlers against Clontarf in Dublin Senior 2 Hurling Championship

In Group 1, Castleknock enhanced their qualification prospects as they eased past Clontarf by 4-21 to 0-12 at Somerton Park. The hosts started off on the front foot with a Niall O’Callaghan goal leaving them five points ahead by the 5th minute while a Neil Hogan goal seven minutes later left Castleknock 2-7 to 0-3 to the good.
The visitors limited the damage for the remainder of the half, trailing by 2-12 to 0-7 at the break, but goals in the final eight minutes from Conal Purcell and substitute Michael Ryan left Clontarf rooted at the bottom of the table.
