Junior A Football vs Ballyboden
Sun, 28th August 2005
Result: 4-12 to 0.07

Castleknock Junior Footballers mastered Ballyboden in this Division 7 clash with a solid determined display to maintain their good run in both league and championship campaigns. The Dubs loss the previous day in Croker seemed to inspire the Knock into a Tyronesque display. Playing against a stiff breeze in the first half John Greene and Barry Farrelly, two men on song at the moment, rattled the Boden net in style. No time was afforded to the home team anywhere on the pitch with free kicks from an accurate centre forward being their only hope.

That hope was extinguished in the second half by two more goals, the first coming from substitute Niall Tutty and the second from a Paddy Molloy converted penalty following great work by Farrelly. Once again Denis Lally and Paul Mulvihill dominated the centre inspiring all around including the eager runners David Leydon and Damian Griffin and with Cathal Gallagher in sublime form in front of the posts there was only going to be one victor.

The Knock continue to progress nicely and with lads returning from injury competition for places is heating up as the semi final of the Dublin Junior B Championship approaches.
